Unilink info for new students
We know that starting university, not knowing anyone or where you are going can be rather daunting. Unilink is a dedicated network of bus services created for students and staff of the University of Southampton.

With everything else going on during your time at university, the last thing you need to worry about is getting around. Our dedicated app and website make travelling by bus as easy as possible. Some handy features include our journey planner and live bus tracking.
We offer a variety of tickets on the Unilink app, with discounted fares for staff and students at the University of Southampton. To access these, you'll need to be verified. Find our verification guide here.
If you are staying in University of Southampton halls, you will be issued with a bus pass accessible via the Unilink app. However, if you are staying elsewhere locally, you have the option to purchase annual, or multi-trip tickets, which can save you money and help speed up boarding times.
Your available bus routes are:
U1 - NOCS > City Centre > Portswood > University > Wessex Lane Halls > Airport
U2 - Central Station > Avenue Campus > University > Glen Eyre Halls > Bassett Green
U6 - General Hospital > University > Swaythling > Portswood > City Centre > Central Station
U7 - University > Boldrewood Campus > Winchester City Centre & School of Art
U9 - Townhill Park > Portswood > University > General Hospital

Most routes end in a letter which highlights the route direction.

- C = City Centre
- E = Eastleigh
- H = General Hospital
- N = Nightbus
Unilink is operated by local bus operator Bluestar - your tickets are also valid for use on their buses within the Southampton zone.
