U6C to be affected by partial Winchester road closure

From Monday 19 October, part of Winchester Road will be closed for 7 weeks in one direction, heading towards the City Centre. As a result, the U6C will have to divert via Burgess Road. Two temporary stops will be placed along this road, one at the top end of the road near the junction with Hill Lane and one near the junction of Butterfield Road.

On diversion, the U6C will miss the following stops:

• Hollybrook Roundabout - the closest Unilink bus stop is the temporary stop at the top end of Burgess Road near the junction with Hill Lane.
• Butterfield Road - the closest Unilink bus stop is the temporary stop at the other end of Butterfield Road. 
• Great Oaks School - anyone wanting to go to the city centre can catch the Bluestar 1 from Holly Hill. For all other destinations on the U6C, the closest Unilink bus stop is Boldrewood Campus.
• Bassett Crescent - anyone wanting to go to the city centre can catch the Bluestar 1 from Holly Hill. For all other destinations on the U6C, the closest Unilink bus stop is Boldrewood Campus.
• Bassett Crossroads - the closest Unilink bus stop is Boldrewood Campus.

Unilink tickets are valid on Bluestar services within the Southampton Zone, so anyone using the Bluestar 1 as an alternative can use their Unilink ticket.

The U6H won't be affected.
