Timetable improvements from Monday 22 September

Three new journeys will be added:

• 04:17 from Town Quay
• 04:50 from Airport
• 00:40 from Airport

This route will be extended at both ends:

• Extended beyond Civic Centre to Ocean Village via West Quay to serve Lucia Foster Welch halls.
• Extended beyond Wessex Lane halls to Swaythling roundabout.

Our five one-way out of the city journeys will turn into four going out of the city and two coming back in.

This route will now run every night between Tuesday and Saturday. (During University term time only.)

To better match demand, the number of journeys on this route will be reduced and will run as follows:

• Towards Winchester - 09:10, 16:45, 18:10
• Towards Highfield - 08:50, 17:50

Special tickets are needed on the U7 but these are also valid on the Bluestar 1 to Winchester which runs up to every 10 minutes! This means you can get to University in Winchester and into Southampton City Centre all on the same ticket. The closest stop to Highfield Interchange is Bassett Crossroads.

This route will be withdrawn due to low demand.

To better match demand, it will be partially replaced by a NEW Bluestar 28 service which will go from Central Station to the Science Park via The Avenue and Chilworth.

Journey times will be as follows:

• Towards Science Park - 07:15, 08:25, 12:40
• Towards Central Station - 13:05, 17:40
