NEW Unilink bus route expands travel between Highfield and Winchester campuses

From September 2023, we will be operating a new Unilink route, the U7. The new route will operate between Highfield bus interchange, Winchester School of Art, and Winchester Broadway.

The U7 will complement the existing Bluestar 1 bus route, which operates between Southampton and Winchester, and will offer peak time, direct journeys. Buses will run Monday to Friday during term time, excluding bank holidays.

There are a range of  great value student and staff tickets available, offering travel between Highfield and Winchester at the same cost as students and staff have in Southampton. Single and return tickets will be available, but the best value fares are only available through our Unilink mobile app. To take advantage of these in-app fares, you will need to have verified yourself in advance in the app using your university ID.

In Winchester, the bus will operate a circuit entering Winchester via St Cross, then picking up and stopping at Jewry Street, North Walls (for Winchester School of Art) and the Broadway before exiting Winchester via Bar End and travelling down the M3 back towards Southampton.
