Airport bus connections
If you're going on holiday, have a business trip planned or just going home for the weekend, we have a brilliant bus connection to Southampton Airport with our U1 bus service.
Our U1A service goes from Southampton to the airport door via University of Southampton and Portswood which is ideal for shift workers at the airport or handy for those catching flights. The U1C does the same but in reverse.
The first bus towards the airport from Southampton leaves at 04:17 and the last bus away from the airport at night leaves at 00:40, arriving in the city centre at 01:12.
U1 bus travel frequency:
- Monday - Friday during University of Southampton term times, buses are up to every 8 minutes
- Monday - Friday during University of Southampton vacations, buses are up to every 10 minutes
- Saturdays - buses are up to every 10 minutes
- Sundays & Public Holidays - buses are up to every 10 minutes
Fares
Single bus fares are just £2.60, and we drop you right outside the terminal. If you need to use more than one bus in a day, a dayrider offers great value - you can also use this ticket on Bluestar buses in the Southampton Zone. Tickets can be bought on our app or just tap on tap off with your contactless bank card on the bus and the correct fare will be calculated for you.
