Single fares from January 2025

The Government's £2 single fare cap is ending as of 31 December 2024. The new single fare cap will be £3.

Good News! All single fares in the Southampton Zone will be just £2.50 from 1 January 2025. This fare applies on the U1, U2, U6 and U8. On the U7, single fares will be £3. Unilink Southampton Zone Dayriders give you unlimited travel within the zone and are just £4.10 on our app or via tap on tap off. This will be more cost effective than buying two singles.

If you pay for your tickets on the bus, we recommend you use tap on tap off, but don't forget to use the same payment card each time you travel. Click here to find out more about tap on tap off.

If you still prefer to buy a paper ticket from the driver, a Southampton Zone Dayrider will be £4.30.

A Dayrider is valid  on both Bluestar and Unilink services within the Southampton Zone. If you want to travel in other fare zones with Bluestar, Southampton Plus and Network, single fares will range from £2.40 to £3. Returns will still be available and the maximum cost will be £6.
