launched in 2001

Unilink was created in 2001 to transport University staff and students between teaching sites and halls of residence, whilst also providing a service that is open for everyone to use.

Since our launch the network has grown significantly, and our services have become some of the most popular in Southampton. Unilink has continued to grow year-on-year since 2001.

In 2017 we celebrated carrying our 40 milionth customer, which is a fantastic milestone.

acessiblity - services for all

We pride ourselves on our customer service, punctuality and ease of use. All unilink services operate dual door vehicles. It's not just our buses that are easy to use and accessible for all, our website is too as it features  technology which helps the visually impaired.  The software can also translate into many different languages.

All buses are low floor and easy access - and we have spaces available for wheelchair users. Our friendly drivers are always happy to assist.  In the absence of national guidance, we can only carry mobility scooters below a certain size on our easy-access buses.

customer service

We pride ourselves on our customer service, on regular basis we get feedback from independant mystery travellers who use our buses and score our services. Unilink staff and services frequently get over 90% on customer service.

A number of ticket options are available to make travel easy and affordable, from standard single and dayrider tickets to period and academic passes available on our key smartcard.

Unilink are always keen to hear your comments or queries, so please feel free to contact us for more information or to discuss our services.
