From Sunday 4 October 2009, we are changing the arrangements of availability of Dayrider and Freedom passes on Uni-link services.
You will no longer be able to use any Dayrider, Explorer and 7-day Freedom pass on Uni-link buses from 4 October onwards. We obviously apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but do stress that all these pass prices were not increased to reflect the additional benefit over the Summer period. We are also not intending to increase these pass prices in the short-term.
Note there is no change for 30-day and 90-day Freedom pass holders.
You can still receive the benefit of using both Bluestar and Uni-link buses, as Bluestar 30 day and 90 day Freedom passes can still be used on Uni-link buses, with no change in price even with this huge added value! These are available from the Bluestar Box in Bargate Street or the Tourist Information Centre on Civic Centre Road in Southampton City Centre, as well as any PayPoint outlet.
If you wish to travel for just a day or a week on both Bluestar and Uni-link buses, you may find a Solent Travelcard useful. At £6.50 per day or £25 per week, you can buy these from your Bluestar or Uni-link driver and use it on most buses across the whole of South Hampshire. Or if you just want to travel around Southampton, it is cheaper to buy both a Bluestar Southampton Dayrider for £3 and a Uni-link Dayrider for £2.50.
